The Serenity Club provides a location in Northern Virginia, near Washington, DC, to disseminate knowledge and information about the disease of alcoholism and associated addictions, and to provide a meeting place for members of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Al-Anon, Alateen, and the Serenity Club, where Honesty, Sobriety, Recovery, Spirituality and Contentment in Life can be found, both collectively and on an individual basis.

Coronavirus: The Club will open Monday, July 6 for meetings which have identified a Safety Monitor.  This list shows which meetings have identified a Safety Monitor.  Seeour latest communication (9-COVID-19-X.pdf) for more information on the opening.

Please use our list of virtual meetings to stay in touch during this difficult time. Online meetings may not be everyone's preferred meeting format but many are finding comfort in them. We also link to a list of live {in-person) meetings which we're told are still being held.

The health and safety of our members and visitors is important.  Please be mindful of your own health and the health of others and follow the CDC's recommendations and the Governor's order.

Vision:

To provide a meeting location that truly reflects the spirit of AA’s 12 Steps and 12 Traditions and a club that is accountable to its members through open, honest, and timely communication.

Service to the Community:
The Serenity Club is self-supporting through the contributions of its members, supporters, and meeting participants. The Club operates without any federal, state or local government funding.

Special Events:  

  • The SERENITY NOW Golf Tournament has been postponed until Friday October 9th.  This is the major fundraising event for the Serenity Club!
  • The Club will hold a membership drive every few months. A table will be manned before/after meetings.

History: The Serenity Club was established as the Wilson Club, later became the Serenity Club, and is now incorporated.

Hours of Operation: From 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after each scheduled meeting. The Club is also open M - F from 1 - 4 PM and Saturday from 1 - 5:30 PM.  Do drop in!
